The Melbourne Health Safety Restraint Set Intensive Care Unit has been developed in close collaboration with the Melbourne Health team to address the specific needs of patients requiring secure yet compassionate restraint solutions.

This set prioritizes both safety and comfort, featuring an ankle cuff anchor designed to attach firmly to the base of the bed using robust tether straps and “D” rings, ensuring reliable restraint without compromising patient mobility.

Unlike many restraints this kit uses soft but durable Lycra fabric, which maintains high durability while being gentle on delicate or tender skin, reducing the risk of irritation during extended use. The complete set includes one ankle cuff anchor, two tether straps that can be secured to the bed or trolley, and two wrist cuffs that connect the patient to the tether straps.

This thoughtful design balances secure restraint with patient comfort, making it especially suitable for intensive care environments where both safety and skin integrity are critical considerations.
