The Mechanical Restraint Devise Set Ambulance Tasmania was made in conjunction with AT.

The MRDSET-AT kit is a replica of our NSW Ambulance MRDSET set but to suit their different needs colors were changed to suit the requirements they had to meet.

Made from high quality and durable neoprene, it provides comfort and strength. The wrist cuff secure by wrapping around the wrist with the 50mm Velcro loop and hook and then tightened by the lime tether strap threaded though the “D” ring and slide. The waist belt is attached to the client and adjusted to fit firmly via the 50mm webbing strap and 50mm side release buckle. Ankle cuffs are applied the same as the wrist cuffs. The ankle stretcher strap is attached to the foot of the bed and secured. The client’s wrist are then attached to the waistbelt.  Once in position on a bed, trolley or stretcher the feet can be attached to the ankle strap. From here the under-stretcher strap can be attached to the waist belt via the side release buckle threaded under the bed and tightened by pulling on the webbing strap.

This is a kit for highly agitated or aggressive clients that run the risk of self-harm and even harm to others. When in use it allows medical staff and carers to intervene safely to administer medication, and treatment safely.

The full kit consists of twelve pieces and components can be purchased individually if required or modified in an ever-changing environment.
